Parish Organizations
Catholic Daughters of The Americas
This very active organization cordially invites all female members of the Parish to join them in their mission. Embracing the principle of faith working through love, they support a wide variety of causes to promote justice, equality, human rights and human dignity. Founded in 1903 by The Knights of Columbus, they are an independent international organization. The group at Our Lady of the Valley is constituted as Court, Queen of Peace 2359. In addition to their current charities, they support a seminarian. Each year at Christmas they join in the Giving Tree with gifts to Pio Decimo in Tucson, a Catholic charity that supports and helps people in need. Pio Decimo also helps with day care in the poorest section of Tucson. Support nationwide for Catholic Daughters programs helps other worthy charities. These include disaster relief; Apostleship of the Sea (Chaplain Training); Mother Teresa; Covenant House; SOAR (Support Our Aging Religious); scholarships for teachers of exceptional children; Fr. Peyton family rosaries and Tutwiler Clinic in Mississippi for the poor. Catholic Daughters meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month in the Holy Family Center after the 8:00 am Mass. Annual dues are $20. New members are welcome.

St. Vincent de Paul
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic organization of lay persons seeking to help those who are suffering in spirit of justice, compassion and charity through person-to-person involvement. Vincentians are called to serve the poor and suffering in teams of two, meeting them in their own environment, extending comfort, friendship, spiritual and physical support. Where resources permit, financial assistance is extended. Members strive to live Christ's Gospel by loving our neighbors and ministering among them. All who are called to spread Christ's love by helping those who are less fortunate are encouraged to become Vincentians. The only requirement is to be willing to participate and to be committed to work for the needy. The Society invites donations of clothing, household and other goods which can be provided to those in need or to be sold through the St. Vincent de Paul Resale Shop in the Parish Center. Your contributions of these goods and of cash enable the Society to continue its marvelous works of charity in our community. A special collection is taken at the Thanksgiving Mass, proceeds of which are given to the Society. All members of the Parish are welcome to join the Society. The re-sale shop is open on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to Noon and is open to the public.
