January 7-8 Weekend
EPIPHANY OF THE LORD
There will be the usual Saturday Mass of Anticipation at 4PM, and
Sunday Masses at 7AM, 9AM, 11AM, and 4PM. This weekend's celebration of
the solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord will include the presentation
of the Gifts of the Magi.
January 10 Tuesday CHRISTMAS UNDECORATING
January 3
DAY OF PENANCE
This year, since the Day of Penance commemorating the 39th
anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, falls on a Sunday, the Church has
moved the commemoration to Monday, January 23rd. There will
be a special Mass at 8AM in honor of this Day of Penance for Violations
to the Dignity of the Human Person through acts of abortion.
February 2 Thursday
PRESENTATION OF THE LORD
Daily Mass at 8AM will begin with the traditional Blessing of
Candles for Candlemas. Parish service candles as well as parishioners'
devotional candles will be blessed.
February 3 Friday
ST. BLASÉ-BLESSING OF THROATS
The traditional Blessing of Throats will be offered at the end of
the 8AM daily Mass before the First-Friday sacrament of the anointing of
the sick.
